How We Work - " The Process"

CALL (217) 544-4432 FOR A CONSULTATION

Call The Closet Guy, Inc. for your FREE in-home consultation. Owner, Brooke Peterson will come to your home for the appointment.

Important! Do not clean out your closet before our appointment!

I need to see any trouble spots and space issues in order to design properly. If you have a neat and organized closet, it is more difficult for me to spot & solve problems. (You don’t go to the doctor when you feel great do you?)

Our appointment should last about one hour.

DESIGN PHASE

Here is an overview of what you can expect during our visit.

  • I will take all necessary measurements of your closet dimensions.
  • I will measure all the items in your closet.
  • Based on your available space, your wardrobe, and your preferences, I will develop a design best suited to your situation.
  • Using a laptop computer, I will design your new closet. You will be able to see a (3D) rendering of your new closet right away.

APPROVAL PHASE
We work with you to come up with a design to suit your needs. However, you are able to suggest any design and/or changes. Once you are completely happy with the design, you sign your approval. Once you put 50% down, we will reserve your materials and schedule an installation.

INSTALLATION PHASE
On your installation day, we will remove any of the standard closet materials. If you would like to paint before the new closet materials are installed, we recommend you either remove the closet materials yourself and fill in the holes and then paint. Services like this can be done in advance by The Closet Guy before the scheduled installation day.
